Newly elected US President Donald Trump has chosen Caroline Levitt as the US White House press secretary.
27-year-old Carolyn Levitt has been appointed as the youngest White House press secretary in US history. The newly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, has nominated a 27-year-old woman to the post of White House press secretary in his administration. He served as Trump's campaign spokesperson during the election. Caroline served as Assistant Press Secretary during Trump's first term as US President.
Previously, the youngest White House press secretary was 29-year-old Ron Ziegler. He was appointed to the post by President Richard Nixon in 1969, Reuters reports.
In a statement on Friday announcing the appointment of Carolyn Levitt as White House press secretary, Trump said Carolyn has demonstrated excellent communication skills. I am very confident that he will deliver our messages to the American people on his own responsibility.
Caroline will face various questions from reporters at the White House after assuming office. In 2022, he participated in the election to become a member of the lower house of representatives of the United States Congress from New Hampshire.
Carolyn served as Communications Director for Congresswoman Elise Stefanik. Trump has nominated Ellis to be the US ambassador to the United Nations in the new administration.
