Kumar Shanu's name is closely associated with Bollywood movies. He is the artist of many popular songs. But it's been a long time, his voice is no longer heard in Bollywood movies. However, this artist has been banned unannounced?
The songs 'Do Dil Mil Rehe', 'Chura Ke Dil Mera' sung by Kumar Shanu were very popular in the nineties. Young fans of those days still ask him to sing these songs when he goes to sing somewhere. He has almost disappeared in Bollywood movies for many years. Shanu's song 'Dard Karara' was heard in the movie 'Dum Laga Ke Haisa' released in 2015. Later in 2018, the remix of the song 'Aankh mare' sung by Shanu was used in Ranveer Singh's film 'Simmba'.
Why can't his songs be heard in Hindi films? In a recent interview, Kumar Shanu said, "I don't know why they don't sing with me anymore." This question came to my mind. Everyone still listens to my songs with joy, loves me, but doesn't give me a chance to sing in movies! But I am still alive, walking around in front of them.' He further said, 'Everyone in the industry respects and loves me a lot. I have no regrets about it.
Talking about his activism, Kumar Shanu said, 'Even today, when I sing at any event, the house is full. Not a single seat remains vacant, be it at home or abroad. It means people still want to hear my music. Do people in the industry not understand this? If they do not understand, it is their misfortune.
