Complaints have been submitted to the International Criminal Tribunal for investigation against 10 people, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, on charges of crimes against humanity including murder, genocide, torture, which occurred during the student movement from July 15 to August 5.
On Wednesday (August 14), Advocate Gazi MH Tamim filed the application at the head office of the investigation agency in Dhanmondi, along with the chief coordinator of the investigation agency.
The father of Arif Ahmed Siam of Bagerhat who was killed in the quota reform movement. Advocate Gazi MH Tamim on behalf of Bulbul Kabir made this application to the International Criminal Tribunal's investigative agency. In the same petition, action has been taken against individuals as well as parties and organizations, Awami League, Jubo League and Chhatra League.
Others who have been charged along with Sheikh Hasina are former Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Junaid Ahmed Palak, former State Minister for Information Mohammad Ali Arafat.
There are also former Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, former Additional Inspector General of Police and former Detective Chief of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Harun Or Rashid, former Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Habibur Rahman, former Director General of RAB. Haroon or Rashid. In addition to these accused, without mentioning the names of Sheikh Hasina government ministers, state ministers, members of parliament and officials and members of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, legal action has also been sought in the petition.
