Free distribution of seeds and fertilizers to the small and marginal under the Agricultural Incentive Programme

Free seeds and fertilizers have been distributed among the farmers. In the current fiscal year 2024-25, free seeds and fertilizers are distributed among the small and marginal farmers to achieve self-sufficiency in the production of high-yielding varieties of mustard seeds, wheat, maize, groundnuts, winter onions.

On Tuesday (November 13) at 11 a.m. in the premises of the Upazila Parishad, under the chairmanship of the Upazila Agriculture Officer Dilshad Jahan, the implementation of the Upazila Agriculture Extension Department, the auspicious inauguration of the free seed and fertilizer distribution program among the small marginal farmers of the upazila, Ghatail Upazila Executive Officer Mocha: Sharmin Islam. Assistant Commissioner (Land) Kishore Kumar Das, Ghatail Upazila Animal Resources Officer Dr. Md. Bahauddin Sarwar Rezvi, Agricultural Extension Officer. Risalat Ahmed, Agriculture Extension Officer. Manowar Hossain and others.

It should be noted that 14 unions and 1 municipality of the upazila have mustard
Seed-5600, Wheat-300, Maize-100, Sunflower-50, Onion-20, Lentil-50, Khesari-50 Total- 6170 farmers will be distributed free seeds and fertilizers.
