Australia did not have much trouble forgetting the failure of the Perth Test in Adelaide. The hosts have restored a 1-1 tie in the series with a convincing 10-wicket win. They need only 20 balls to reach the target of 19 runs. Earlier, Pat Cummins's batting had India bowled out for 175 runs in the second innings.

India started the day trailing by 29 runs in the second innings. They had five wickets in hand. Rishabh Pant (28) was caught at slips by a brilliant delivery from Mitchell Starc. Then the Indian lower order was in the face of Cummins' short ball.

Like in the first innings, Nitish Reddy tried to resist. However, in the end, he fell victim to Cummins' short ball. He scored a maximum of 42 runs in 47 balls with 6 fours. Cummins was the 12th wicket-taker at the cost of 57 runs. Besides, Scott Boland took 3 and Mitchell Starc took two wickets.

Australia maintained their dominance in the Test, easily chasing a target of just 19 runs. Travis Head was named man of the match for his devastating first innings century.
