The Election Commission (EC) has canceled the candidature of two upazila parishad chairman candidates for violating the election code of conduct. Those whose candidatures have been canceled are Chairman candidate Abu Ahmed Chowdhury in Chittagong's Chandnaish Upazila election and Md. Ishwardi of Pabna. Emdadul Haque.
Today, Sunday (May 26), the commission held separate hearings about these two at the election building of Agargaon. EC canceled their candidature after the hearing.
Meanwhile, after the hearing, EC Secretary Md. Jahangir Alam told reporters that Abu Ahmed Chowdhury, the chairman candidate of Chandanish Upazila election of Chittagong district, responded according to the complaint. Voting will be held in the third phase of the Upazila Parishad elections on May 29.
