If Jamaat-e-Islami made a mistake in 1971 and if it is proven beyond doubt, then it will apologize to the nation, said Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman.
Shafiqur Rahman made this comment while talking to journalists of Bengali media in the UK at a restaurant in East London on Tuesday. He said, recognize those killed in the mass uprising of 24 as 'national heroes'. People from all classes of the country took part in this uprising. Even everyone living outside the country fought with us according to their ability.
Stating that the expatriates are providing immense support to their homeland Bangladesh through remittances, the Jamaat Ameer said, "Along with monetary remittances, I am also appealing to the expatriates to send intelligence remittances to Bangladesh. Intelligence remittances will be of great help in intellectual development in Bangladesh." In this way, expatriates will be able to make an immense contribution to building the Bangladesh of their dreams.
