Jatiyatavadi Chhatra Dal Central General Secretary Nashir Uddin Nashir said, 'Stopping student politics will not be good. We have come to discuss with the students because of the need for common student politics participation in every decision. Chhatra Dal no longer wants the occupation, oppression and common room culture that Chhatra League has done in the university in the past. Chhatra Dal will work for the welfare of students. Students should be aware of politics. So that no next fascist can seize power. If students are aware of politics, those who secretly want to do politics will not be fulfilled.'
He said these things during the exchange of views of the students at the Battala of the Islamic University (EB) on Tuesday (October 5). At this time, EB branch convenor of Chhatra Dal Shahed Ahmed, member secretary Masud Rumi Mithun and senior joint convenor Anwar Parvez were present.
He also said, we think that the participation of students is necessary to make a merit-based and occupation-free politics suitable for the 21st century. We want to politicize that partnership and put students' views first.
Regarding infiltration and disorder, he said, 'If anyone in the party acts against order, he will not be exempted. We follow zero tolerance policy regarding discipline. More than 200 of our leaders and workers have been expelled and more than 300 workers have been mourned. He said that after August 5, there was not a single incident of any worker of another party participating in the student union. As it is a large organization there may be additions and subtractions. Those who will work for the rights of students and have done so in the past will be led by regular students according to the structure of the organization.
It is known that General Secretary of Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal Nashir Uddin Nashir came to the university at 10 o'clock to exchange views with the students of Islamic University. Later, in memory of the martyrs killed in the July uprising, he paid tribute at the central Shaheed Minar and at the foundation stone of martyr Ziaur Rahman. Later prayers were offered for the martyrs. During this time, he distributed 31-point leaflets of BNP's state reforms among the students and exchanged views. He also planted trees next to the foundation stone of Ziaur Rahman and in front of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Hall.
