The chief adviser of the interim government. Bangladesh National Awami Party-Bangladesh NAP Chairman Jebel Rahman Gani and Secretary General M. expressed consensus on the reform of the state structure by welcoming Muhammad Yunus' speech to the nation. Golam Mostafa Bhuiya said, "The nation is hopeful that the six commissions that the government has set up with emphasis on the issue of state reform."
The two leaders said these things in response to the speech of the chief adviser of the interim government on Thursday (September 12).
In their speech, the Honorable Chief Adviser said, 'We have no chance for the nation to fail this time. We must be successful', expressing his agreement with the comment, he said, 'If the state fails to reform in this campaign, the country and the nation will be deeply disappointed. At the same time, dictators and fascists will emerge again. The entire country and nation will be plunged into deep darkness.
Leaders also said, "A credible, fair and popular election is necessary to implement the message and aspirations of the people's revolution, but it is very difficult to expect it in the current system." Therefore, to prevent the recurrence of fascism or autocratic rule in Bangladesh, to establish a welfare-oriented state system to establish a fair election system and good governance. The nation is very optimistic after hearing about that step in the Prime Minister's speech. '
NAP leaders said, "In his address to the nation, the Chief Adviser announced a roadmap to outline state reforms. Electoral Reform Commission, Police Administration Reform Commission, Judiciary Reform Commission, Anti-Corruption Reform Commission, Public Administration Reform Commission and Constitution Reform Commission announced the names of the heads of the commissions and announced the finalization of state reforms through these commissions. In this situation, the parties should cooperate with the cooperation that the current government has called for from the political parties.
They said, "Until the complete reformation of the new Bangladesh won by the blood of martyrs, no election will bring the welfare of the nation. The Chief Adviser should be given a reasonable amount of time to complete the work he has started to outline the state reforms. It must be remembered that the radical reform of the country is the need of the hour and it must be done. In the 16 years of the fallen government, irregularities and corruption have crept into the state. Until these are eradicated, the elections will not bear any good results for the country and the nation. After the state reform, the people of the country can get their desired government. '
Leaders said, "Government believes in people's right to vote and people's ownership, and in the speech of the Chief Adviser, the idea of reforms for the development of the election system has been given importance." We think that it is in no way acceptable to impose the tyranny and misrule of the majority on people in the name of elections or to keep all the power axed to one person or family or any group. '
They said, "In the light of the speech of the chief adviser, the beginning of long-term reforms should at least be the beginning." Without these reforms, a quick election just to get to power could lead to one-party rule again at a different juncture. Everyone should discuss with each other to complete a genuine reform process and proceed towards fair elections. Just as the Election Commission needs to be reformed, the state needs to reform the important institutions of the state. Otherwise, the great sacrifice of these anti-discrimination students may go in vain.
