Insaniat Biplab Bangladesh has demanded the removal of Hefazat and Charmonai leader Khalid Hasan from the advisory council of the interim government.
Chairman of the party Allama Imam Hayat claimed this in a press conference at Dhaka Reporters Unity on Saturday afternoon.
Allama Imam Hayat said that the group called Hefazat falsely claims to be apolitical but is actually involved in horrific violent apolitical politics. The group, like the Afghan Taliban, demanded that mothers and sisters be banned from education beyond the fourth grade. In the name of the Charmonai Islamic movement, the group is openly supporting the murderous tyranny of Azid in the name of another religion. These groups are contrary to the true teachings of Islam and using the name of Islam only use the religious emotions of Muslims to abuse the religion and are involved in a conspiracy to impose their irreligious extremism and militancy by seizing the state.
No leader of a political party can be in the interim government, not a non-religious radical secular party in the name of religion. If there is, future elections will not be people's elections in any way. The interim government must be non-partisan or the mass movement will be a betrayal of the country's people and democracy.
Imam Hayat said that the interim government is entrusted with the hope of democracy and freedom of the country and the people and the state power is entrusted as a deposit of the people. We strongly say that this government must remain party neutral. For this reason, Khalid Hasan, a religious leader named Hefazat and Islamic Movement, must be removed from the advisory council and the non-partisan policy and character of this government must be protected.
Insaniat Biplab Advisory Chairman Fateha Rahnum, General Secretary Sheikh Raihan Rahbar and party presidium members were present at the press conference.
