The World Bank will provide 3.5 billion US dollars to Bangladesh to support the reform initiatives of the interim government. The World Bank will support reforms in the digitalization, liquidity, energy and power and transport sectors.

On Wednesday, September 25 at the United Nations headquarters in New York, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, the chief advisor of the interim government of Bangladesh, Professor Dr. World Bank President Ajay Banga made this announcement in a meeting with Muhammad Yunus.

It is known that in the meeting Professor Dr. Yunus sought the World Bank's support for the sweeping reforms undertaken by the interim government.
