India and Pakistan troops exchanged fire again on the Kashmir border. This is the third consecutive ceasefire violation in the last three nights. This information was reported in a report by Indian media NDTV on Sunday (April 27).

Tensions between the two countries have increased significantly after the recent deadly attack by gunmen in Indian-administered Kashmir. The situation is gradually heating up due to reciprocal diplomatic and military measures. In the meantime, there is continuous firing between Indian and Pakistani troops on the border.

According to Indian media, although Pakistan is blamed for the firing, there has been no official response from Pakistan or the country's media on this matter yet.

NDTV reported that the situation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir has become extremely tense since the horrific attack in Pahalgam. There is almost regular firing between Pakistani and Indian troops.

The media outlet further claimed that Pakistani troops are regularly violating the ceasefire. Last night too, “provocative small arms firing” was carried out by Pakistani troops.

An Indian Army statement said, “During the intervening night of April 26 and 27, Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked small arms firing on our posts opposite Tutmarigali and Rampur sectors. Our forces responded befittingly.”

Earlier, diplomatic measures have been taken to worsen relations between the two countries. These include visa cancellation, withdrawal of diplomats from embassies and closure of the only trade route, the Wagah-Attari border.
