Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is going to take new steps to increase the birth rate due to the country's declining marriage rate, increasing divorce rate and increasing elderly population. It is believed that the issue of declining birth rate and increasing elderly population can destroy Turkey's social and economic stability. The country's president has come forward to solve the issue.
In addition, a new program has been started in the country. It is said that couples who have children will receive financial assistance. For the first child, couples will receive a one-time 5 thousand lira. After that, a monthly allowance of 1 thousand 500 lira will be given for the birth of the second child. In order to encourage couples to have a third child after the first and second child, it has been announced to provide a monthly allowance of 5 thousand lira for the third child. Which is $ 132. And in Bangladeshi money, it is equal to 17 thousand taka. Turkish people who live abroad can also apply for this benefit through the Turkish embassy or consulate of that country.
Many people in Turkey are reluctant to get married due to the rising cost of living. Even if they do get married, they are reluctant to have children.
The new program is said to be aimed at addressing "Turkey's future risks."
