Naeem Kashem, who has served as a high-ranking official of Hezbollah for the past 30 years, was announced by Hezbollah as the new head of Naeem Kashem, the deputy head of Lebanon's powerful armed group Hezbollah, on Tuesday.
Naeem Kashem gave a televised address on October 8 after the death of former President Hassan Nasrullah in an Israeli attack on September 27. At that time, he said, although they suffered a few "painful blows" from the Israeli attack, their military capabilities remained intact.
In addition, at that time, he said that the speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, was trying to establish a cease-fire between Hezbollah and the occupying Israel. If his efforts are successful then good. Otherwise they will continue the war with Israel. On that day, for the first time, he spoke of a ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel, except for a ceasefire in Gaza.

In 1991, Naeem Kashem was appointed as deputy head by the then head of Hezbollah, Abbas Al-Musawi. Abbas was killed in an Israeli helicopter attack the following year
After his death, Naeem Kashem continued to serve as deputy head after Hasan Nasrullah took over as head of Hezbollah. He has also been working as one of Hezbollah's spokespersons for the past year. He speaks in different places including foreign press.
Naim Kashem was born in 1953 in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. He started his political career with Shia Amal movement. After the Islamic revolution in Iran in 1979, he withdrew from the Amal movement.
After Israel attacked Lebanon in 1982, Hezbollah was created with the help of Iran's Revolutionary Guard. Naeem Kashem was present at the meetings that gave birth to Hezbollah.
In 1992, Hezbollah took part in the parliamentary elections in Lebanon for the first time. Naeem Kashem has been working as the election coordinator of the party since that time.
He wrote a book on the history of Hezbollah in 2005. Through which many rare and unknown information about the group is known. Naeem Kashem wears a white turban on his head. On the other hand, former chief Hasan Nasrullah used to wear someone's turban.
