Anti-corruption Nurses and Midwives Society of Bangladesh has demanded seven points including stopping corruption in transfer of nurses and midwives. At the same time, they also gave a memorandum to the health advisor in view of this demand
They submitted the memorandum on Wednesday (August 21).
Seven point demands
1. Quick transfer Easy direct and online transfer application submission system
2. Transfer activities, transfer from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to the Directorate of Nursing and Midwifery along with canceling the forwarding system of the authorities should be arranged for stand release.
3. Those Senior Staff Nurses and Midwives officers who have been in service for more than two years during the apprenticeship period, should arrange for immediate transfer to the desired post in spite of vacancies.
4. Suffering about transfers, bribery and recommendation should be stopped. The transfer should be confirmed in stages depending on the serial number of application submission.
5. If both the husband and wife are government employees, they should ensure that they join at the same place or side by side, subject to vacancies.
6 All the nurses and midwives working in Hawar/Hills/Durgam and remote areas as declared by the government should be transferred to their desired post subject to vacancy after completion of six months.
7. Transfer must be completed within 15 working days of submission of transfer application form.
Nurse transfer policy 2020 version in the light of these demands, new transfer policy should be formulated and notification issued within the next 48 hours.
