Grameenphone, the country's leading telecommunications company, and Eastern Bank PLC (EBL), one of the pioneers in the financial sector, have jointly launched the facility of buying smartphones in interest-free installments. Grameenphone recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with EBL, under which customers can buy official smartphones at zero percent EMI for up to 24 months.
This initiative is part of Grameenphone's commitment to digital empowerment, which has been taken with the goal of bringing modern technology to people from all walks of life.

EBL credit card holders can avail this facility.
Customers can buy smartphones of various popular brands including Samsung, Xiaomi (MI), Oppo, Vivo.
Smartphones can be purchased from designated retail outlets including Gadgets & Gear.
The offer will run from August 10 to September 30, 2025.
To check the availability of the offer, an SMS will be sent to 29000.
After confirmation, the outlet manager will execute the installment using the EBL card.

The agreement signing ceremony held at GP House in Dhaka was attended by Head of Partnerships Munia Gani and Head of Cards Tasnim Hossain on behalf of Grameenphone.
