Today, the film 'Amar Shesh Katha' directed by Mohammad Islam is being released in 19 theaters in the country. The film, starring Joy Chowdhury and Kazi Zara, is produced by Sachetan Film Media.

The film is based on a true story from Narayanganj. The story shows that a human trafficker once pushed his own wife into trafficking. However, an incident radically changed his life.

After the completion of production in 2023, when the film was submitted to the Censor Board, the clearance was suspended on charges of violating Section 4B(1) of the Film Censorship Act-1963. Later, after reshooting some scenes and submitting them, permission was granted for release.

However, there was a disagreement between the artist and the producer regarding the promotion of the film. Hero Joy Chowdhury complained that he did not participate in the promotion due to the producer's unprofessionalism and poor post-production. Joy said, “The end of shooting does not mean the end of the work. Good post-production, songs and trailers are essential to attract the audience. But no attention was paid to that.”

This is the first film of heroine Kazi Zara. Although she accused the producer of negligence, she expressed excitement about the release of her debut film. In her words, “The release of the first film is a big deal for any artist. If the producer wanted me to promote, I would definitely come.”

On the other hand, director and producer Mohammad Islam blamed the artists. He said, “The hero and heroine did not give time to promote. If they had cooperated, the audience’s interest would have increased even more.”

Kazi Hayat, Mahmudul Islam Mithu, Rebecca, Bobby, Subrata and Rina Khan also acted in the film ‘Amar Shesh Kotha’.
