Mumbai Police has arrested a man from Jamshedpur for allegedly sending threatening messages to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. A Worli police team has taken him into custody for questioning.
Accused Hussain Sheikh Mousin (24) is a vegetable vendor from Jamshedpur. A senior police official confirmed the matter. He said that he will be brought to Mumbai for further investigation.
Last week, Mumbai Traffic Police's WhatsApp helpline received a threatening message demanding Rs 5 crore from the actor. In which it was written, 'If Salman Khan wants to stay alive and settle the problem with Lawrence Bishnoi, then he has to pay 5 crore rupees. And if Salman does not give it then his situation will be worse than Baba Siddiqui. This message should not be taken lightly.'
Immediately after this incident, the police registered a case and started investigation. After the investigation started, another message was received on the traffic police helpline number, claiming that the previous message was sent by mistake.
Police tracked down the number in Jharkhand and swooped down on the grounds to arrest the accused. Immediately after this incident, the police arrested the vegetable seller Sheikh Mousin.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan's security has been beefed up due to constant death threats. The actor is traveling in a Rs 2 crore gun-proof car. Even the sets of the reality show 'Bigg Boss' have 60 security guards every day, including the best.
