Actress and MP Kangana Ranaut has been going through a drought in her Bollywood career for a long time. Meanwhile, his film Emergency is about to be released. He is currently busy with the promotion of this movie.
However, the Sikh community claims that the story shown here is degrading their dignity. Before this, they demanded to stop the release of the film. This is a direct threat of death.
According to a report by Hindustan Times, a video has recently gone viral on social media. In which the influential Sikh leader of Punjab Vicky Thomas Singh is seen threatening Kangana. The Sikh leader said, 'History cannot be changed.
If they portray Sikhs as terrorists, remember what happened to whoever is making the movie. Remember who Satwant Singh and Bayant Singh were. We cut off those who finger us. If we can cut our own throats, then we can cut our throats.
Another person in the video says, "If you release this movie, the Sardars will beat you with shoes." He took the slap. I am a very proud Indian.
If I see you anywhere in my country and in my Maharashtra, not only as a Sikh and a proud Marathi, but for all my Hindu, Christian and Muslim brothers, I will welcome you with my shoes.'
Kangana herself also saw this video message. He shared it on his X handle and wrote, 'Please watch this video'. Where he tagged the police of Maharashtra, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.
Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) chief Harjinder Singh Dhami recently raised the demand for an FIR against Kangana through a press conference. He pointed out that there have been several incidents in the past when Sikh sentiments were hurt due to misrepresentation of the community in films.
Seeking a ban on the film, he called the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) 'biased' and called for the inclusion of Sikh members in the censor board.
Akal Takht Chief Ghani Raghbir Singh also claimed that the film "deliberately misrepresents the character of Sikhs as separatists, which is part of a deeper conspiracy."
