Earlier, Special Branch of Police, Deputy Commissioner, NSI submitted a positive report. Still, the file was kept in the ministry for months for unknown reasons. 85 lakhs were paid to the minister before the election in December 2018 under compulsion. The money bag was handed over to one of Kamal's family members in front of Kamal's house in Farmgate area.

A list was sent from the minister's office whenever there was a circular in fire service and civil defence. Accordingly, this former minister used to force the fire service to appoint them. On October 2, 2023, 535 people were appointed by the Directorate of Fire Service and Civil Defense. Among them were 436 male firefighters, 15 female firefighters and 84 drivers.
