An operation is underway to arrest those involved in the violence during the quota reform movement. The police are going from house to house in various places including the area around the vandal spot. If in doubt mobile phone is being verified. Any evidence of involvement in murder or sabotage is being detained.
Apart from this, an operation is underway to arrest those identified on the basis of CCTV cameras, video footage and intelligence information. Various police units including RAB-DB are active in this work. As a result, RAB has arrested 228 people in the last 24 hours across the country.
On Thursday (July 25), Senior Assistant Director of Legal and Media Wing of RAB Headquarters ANM Imran Khan gave this information.
He said, RAB has arrested 228 people across the country, including 55 people in Dhaka and 173 outside Dhaka on the charge of sabotage.
Before this, using the movement of ordinary students as a tool, the joint member secretary of the Public Rights Council involved in violence and vandalism in various parts of the country including BTV building, Metrorail. RAB arrested four people including Tariq Rahman from Mirpur and Badda areas of the capital.
They are joint member secretary of the People's Rights Council. Tarek Rahman (31), his associate Md. Sajal Mia (24), Al Faisal Rocky (27) and Md. Ariful Islam (30).
According to RAB, the arrested 4 people have actively participated in attacks, vandalism and arson in different places of the capital recently. They participated in these attacks and sabotage under the guidance of various opposition political parties, anti-liberation war and anti-state cliques.
They basically vandalized and set fire to various places in Rampura, Badda, including BTV building in the capital, Kazipara and Mirpur-10 stations of metro rail under the direction and leadership of the arrested Tarek. Tarek was in regular contact with various anti-government groups in the country and outside the country.
