Md. Taj Uddin (53), Councilor of 7 Ward of Bhola Borhan Uddin Municipality and President of Upazila Jubo League, was detained by Immigration Police and Border Guard Bangladesh BGB members while going to India through Benapole land port.
He was arrested from the Benapole Immigration Building at around 10:30 am on Wednesday (06 November). Borhan Uddin of Taj Uddin Bhola is the son of Abdul Ghani of Sadar Police Station.
Detained Tajuddin Bholar accused of explosives case of Sadar police station. A case was filed against him in the police station on October 2. Case number-04. He has been arrested in this case.
Benapole Immigration Inspector Omar Farooq Majumder and ICP Camp Commander Naib Subedar Farid Uddin said that we had secret information earlier that one accused in the Bhola explosives case would flee to India through a passport visa. Based on such information, vigilance was increased in the immigration area and the movement of the accused appeared suspicious when he was actually interrogated at the immigration for getting the exit stamp on his passport. Later, after searching the accused Tajuddin's home area Bhola, it is known that he is a accused accused in the explosives case. He was then arrested and handed over to the Benapole Port Police Station after the proceedings.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Benapole Port Police Station Russel Miah said that Bhola Borhan Uddin Police Station has been informed about the arrest of Taj Uddin. He will be handed over to Benapole Port Police Station authorities after the arrival of the police from there.
