A case has been filed in the police station in connection with the beating of a former freedom fighter commander in Barguna. The accused Md. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Barguna police station Dewan Jaglul Hasan confirmed the case to Dhaka Post on Tuesday (September 10).
Earlier on Monday (September 9) in the afternoon, the victim Abdur Rashid filed this case at Barguna police station.
It is mentioned in the case, last Sunday (September 8) around 11 o'clock, the victim entered through the east gate of the main building of Barguna District Commissioner's office for personal work. Abdur Rashid. He saw the accused standing there. Later, the accused Shaon Mollah intercepted the victim Rashid Mia with the help of unknown accused. Later Shaun Molla grabbed his left hand and in a spate of verbal abuse pulled the victim's glasses and smashed them on the road. Also, when he tried to pick up his glasses, Shawn slapped him on the head and punched him on the back.
The victim mentioned in the case, after the beating, the scene of the incident was recorded on the mobile phone for the purpose of defamation. Later it went viral on social media. It is also mentioned that the accused gave various threats and intimidation.
Incidentally, the former freedom fighter commander Md. Abdur Rashid was assaulted and beaten. A video of which spread on social media. Where it can be seen, Shaon Molla, the son of the former district BNP president Farooq Molla, is beating the former commander.
In this regard, Barguna Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Dewan Jaglul Hasan told Morenews that a regular case has been filed in the police station based on the complaint of former freedom fighter commander Abdur Rashid. Further legal action will be taken subject to investigation.
