In the mobile court run by the district administration and Panchagarh Environment Department under the "Integrated and Participatory Project to Control Noise Pollution" in Panchagarh's Boda Upazila, 4 bus and truck drivers have been fined 4,000 taka and 6 hydraulic horns have been seized.
On Monday (December 2) afternoon, the mobile court's Executive Magistrate and Boda Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) SM Fuad conducted a drive in the M/s Sonar Bangla Filling Station area on the Panchagarh-Thakurgaon highway in the upazila and imposed the fine.
During this, two bus and two truck drivers were fined 4,000 taka and six hydraulic horns were seized for using horns exceeding the prescribed noise level. At the same time, drivers were instructed not to use hydraulic horns.
During the drive, Assistant Director of the Panchagarh Environment Department District Office Yusuf Ali served as the prosecutor. In addition, members of Boda Police Station assisted in conducting the drive. During this time, awareness stickers were pasted on various vehicles. Such drives will continue on behalf of the Panchagarh Environment Department.
