On Wednesday (November 20), a man named Nazrul Islam was publicly hacked to death in Sultanpur Mohalla of Naogaon. The police said that the murder occurred due to a dispute over land.
Local residents said that Nazrul had a long-standing conflict with his neighbor Mannan over the boundary of a land next to the house. On Wednesday morning, when Mannan Nazrul cut some mango trees planted, a fight broke out between them. At one stage, Mannan cut Nazrul with a sharp knife and escaped from there. Local residents rescued Nazrul injured after the incident. Nazrul died on the way to the hospital.
Anjuara, the sister of deceased Nazrul, complained that Mannan and his family members often threatened to kill Nazrul due to conflict. They got involved in a planned quarrel and committed this murder. I want exemplary justice for this murder.
On receiving the information, District Police Additional Superintendent of Police Gaziur Rahman, Detective Police (DB) Inspector Abdul Mannan, Naogaon Sadar Police Station OC Nur Alam Siddiqui visited the spot. The police took the body of the deceased into custody and sent it to Naogaon Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem.
Naogaon Additional Superintendent of Police Gaziur Rahman said that some evidence has been collected after visiting the scene. A case will be filed at Naogaon Sadar Model Police Station regarding the murder. Those involved in this incident will be quickly arrested and legal action will be taken.
