The district administration has launched a campaign against the banned sale and use of polythene in Panchgarh.
On Sunday (November 3) morning, Panchagarh district administration, and Department of Environment, Panchagarh jointly launched an operation to stop the use of banned polythene in Panchagarh Jagdal Bazar.
A team under the leadership of District Magistrate Mizanur Rahman conducted this operation in Panchagarh city market Bipni Bitan, Manohari shop, raw market, fish and meat shop in various business establishments. In the operation, the use, sale, display for sale, storage and distribution of polythene, which was declared banned at that time, through the mobile court. All are requested to refrain from and awareness leaflets have been distributed. District Magistrate Mizanur Rahman
He said, for the sake of preserving the environment law, the operation has been started to stop the banned polythene. Assistant Director of Panchagarh District Office Md Yusuf Ali served as the prosecutor.
The campaign will continue and soon the district will be declared polythene free
