The teachers of Faridpur Upazila of Pabna formed a human chain to demand the implementation of 10th grade of primary assistant teachers by removing discrimination. Later they submitted the memorandum to the Chief Adviser through UNO.
On Thursday (October 3) at 5 pm in front of Faridpur Upazila Parishad, Primary Teachers Coordination Council, Faridpur Upazila Branch organized a human chain to eliminate discrimination. Headmasters of various primary schools participated in this human bond of assistant teachers expressing solidarity.
The teachers in the human chain said, eighth grade pass is a government employee, car driver they get paid more than teachers. But the primary teachers who passed the honors-masters get the salary of 13th grade. It is extremely disrespectful. This disparity must be removed. Since teachers are the builders of people and nations, the government should also focus on improving their quality of life. Therefore, they strongly demanded the implementation of the 10th grade of primary assistant teachers to the present government.
Ashraful Alam, Gholam Mawla, Abu Lais Zaidi spoke among the head teachers, Rasheduzzaman Nashir, Muhammad Rahmatullah, Asadul Haque, Nuruzzaman, Mahmud, Rana Islam, Mehdi Islam and others spoke among the assistant teachers.
At the end of the human chain, the teachers gave a memorandum to the chief advisor through the Upazila Nirbahi Officer.
