A rumor spread riots in different cities of the United Kingdom. The killing of a child in a knife attack has led to massive clashes between the police and the hard-right in the country.
According to the media BBC, a hotel for immigrants in the United Kingdom was attacked on Sunday (August 4) by radical right-wing extremists. Chairs, bottles and stones were also thrown at the police. Protesters clashed with the police in many places.
The incident started last Monday (July 29) after three children were stabbed to death in Southport. A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested in that incident. After that a rumor spread on social media. The arrested teenager is described as a radical Islamist immigrant.
After that, protests started in the country. The hard-right calls for a movement against immigrants and Muslims. The mosque was also attacked. The movement to demand justice for the murder gradually turned violent. There is looting and arson.
The Labor Party, which came to power only a month ago, faces a tough test due to violent protests. However, the country's home secretary said there is no place for violence in Britain. Strict action has also been given against those who create sabotage in the name of movement.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer also strongly condemned the attack on migrants. He also announced that action will be taken against those involved.
The British Prime Minister said,
I strongly condemn what the extreme right has done. No doubt. Those involved in this violence will be brought under the law. They will be arrested and remanded.
Meanwhile, the Labor government has announced an allocation of 37 million dollars to strengthen the security of mosques in the United Kingdom. This announcement was made by the country's Ministry of Interior on Sunday in connection with the series of attacks on mosques in England and Northern Ireland.
