Allegations of forcing out the acting principal of the madrasa

Maulana Abu Ishaq, Acting Principal of Enayetullah Islamia Fazil Madrasa of Chatmohar Upazila in Pabna, has been accused of being forced out of the Madrasa in broad daylight.

On Thursday (September 19) around ten o'clock in the morning, the local municipal councilor and some people supported by BNP went to his room and took away the keys and files and forced him out of the madrasa and locked him up.

At that time, assistant professor of the same madrasa, Rabiul Karim Bachchu, put flower garlands around his neck and seated him in the chair as acting principal. Later they make sweet faces. At that time some madrasa teachers were present there but they did not protest due to fear.

The victim Acting Principal Maulana Abu Ishaq made a written complaint to the Acting President of the Madrasah and the Upazila Nirbahi Officer seeking a fair trial of the incident.

Madrasa Acting Principal Maulana Abu Ishaq said in his complaint, "On Thursday morning, local municipal councilor Mahatab Hossain, Chatmohar Business Association President Moklechur Rahman Bidyut, local businessman Abdus Salam Sarkar led some people from the area came to my room. They asked me various questions such as Awami League friend, Awami League people have been made into a committee, Baluchar people have not been included in the committee, I am in the chair by any authority. At one point they asked me to give up the chair and handed over the key to whoever they wanted as acting principal and asked me to go out. I tried to convince them in various ways about the legitimacy of my being acting principal, but they would not listen. Then I am coming to protect the honor. Later they hung the lock on the madrasa.

Rabiul Karim Bachchu, accused assistant professor and acting principal, said, "During the recruitment period, the managing committee passed a resolution and gave me the responsibility of acting principal. But despite telling Maulana Ishaq sahib repeatedly, he never explained the responsibility to me. Today, the local residents removed him and put me in the chair of the acting principal.

Rabiul Karim Bachchu could not answer the question whether anyone can forcefully expel the head of an educational institution and make you sit on the chair without the decision and resolution of the managing committee and whether you can sit or not. He also admitted that he did not know the acting president of the madrasa, UNO, before sitting on the chair.

When asked to know, the president of the Chatmohar Business Association, Moklechur Rahman Bidyut, said that the madrasa was built by the people of Baluchar society. It is the people of the society who are doing it. I am also among the people of the society. Maulana Ishaq sahib has no valid documents. That is why he has been asked to leave. Rabiul Karim has acting duties in the resolution.

When asked whether you have read that resolution, what is written there, you said, 'I have not read it. telling me I will seat the one who has the paper. When asked whether he can remove one person and put another person on the chair, he said, "I can't." The people of the society have placed.

Acting president of the madrasa and Chatmohar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Reduanul Halim said, "I will call a meeting of the management committee of the madrasa." Further action will be taken based on the decision of the committee members.

A senior teacher and head of the institution was insulted and kicked out in the afternoon. When asked what action has been taken in this regard, UNO spoke in the same tone without answering.

It should be noted that since 2017, Maulana Abu Ishaq, the senior Arabic teacher of the madrasa, has been serving as the acting principal. Through the meeting of the managing committee for the recruitment process of the madrasa, the assistant professor of the same madrasa was asked Rabiul Karim Bachchu to perform the temporary secretarial duties for the appointment period and Maulana Abu Ishaq was asked to do all the administrative work of the madrasa. Later, all recruitment activities were canceled in a government announcement. Then for the past 9 to 10 months, Maulana Abu Ishaq has been performing the duties of the madrasa as acting principal including all administrative activities.

But Rabiul Karim Bachchu suddenly started claiming himself as acting principal for some time after talking about the resolution of appointment period. At the same time, he spread false propaganda against acting principal Maulana Abu Ishaq at various places. Unable to get over it, he finally approached the local councilor and some BNP supporters.
